RESERVA Visit

The Land, the People, the Cava, the essence of Rovellats

The Reserva visit is the ideal visit to introduce you to the fascinating world of cava and the world of Rovellats, a family winery in the heart of the Penedès.

To get to know the history of our family, we start with a short tour of the beautiful modernist gardens of the estate and visit our Masia “Segle XV” which gives its name to one of our most emblematic cellars. Next to it is the family chapel dedicated to the “Moreneta”, the Virgin of Montserrat, already built by our grandfather in the early twentieth century.

Next we will enter the magical world of the elaboration of our cavas, discovering together the cellar where we elaborate our calm wines that later will become cavas of long aging.

Rovellats cavas are made exclusively from grapes from our vineyards and following the traditional method or Méthode Champenoise .

Located 12 meters deep, our radial cellar is unique in the world for its original six-pointed star structure and a central roundabout.

At the end of the visit we enjoyed a tasting of three reserve cavas of very different styles: our Imperial Brut, the Imperial Rosé Brut and the Cuvèe Especial Brut Nature, accompanied by a small appetizer of cold cuts and cheese.

* In this tasting we focus on, starting from the same aging time, how we can enjoy different styles of cava depending on the time and the pairing.
