The best sparkling wine of the Bacchus Competition is from Rovellats

One of the great events in Spain with the world of wine, the Bacchus International Wine Competition , organized by the “Unión Española de Catadores”, has already distributed this year’s medals. 53 wines have scored more than 93 points in blind tasting. In this edition, 1,728 samples have been tested.

 

 

The Gran Reserva Brut Nature de Rovellats has won the Gran Bacchus d’Or, thus standing out among the other bubbles that competed. A cava with 70% Xarel·lo, 15% Macabeu, and 15% Parellada and aged for 60 months, which stands out for its long-aged aromas on lees with fruity background and floral notes, reminiscent of fresh apples and the almond blossom.

 

Apart from the Grand Bacchus d’Or, in this same competition, Rovellats has also obtained 2 Bacchus d’Or:

• GRAN RESERVA MASIA S. XV GROSS NATURE 2013 – BACCHUS DE ORO
• RESERVA IMPERIAL BRUT 2019 – BACCHUS DE ORO

More than 80 tasters taste at the competition, including Masters of Wine, Masters Sommelier, sommeliers, purchasing managers, specialized critics and managers of the main winemaking institutions worldwide. The professional tasters themselves endorse the Bacchus 2023 list as one of the most essential guides for consumers when recognizing the quality of award-winning brews.
